About Bruce Whitmire
Bruce Whitmire is a CEO/COO, operator, and leadership voice shaped by more than two decades of leading in high-stakes environments where results matter and excuses don’t.
He began his career in the United States Air Force as an aircraft maintenance technician, where precision, accountability, and trust were non-negotiable. On the flightline, every decision carried weight—and that early experience forged a leadership foundation built on consistency, discipline, and responsibility.
Bruce went on to lead complex operations across both the private and nonprofit sectors, with full P&L responsibility and oversight of multi-site, cross-functional teams. As CEO of Global Water Partners and a senior leader with Living Water International, he helped scale global efforts that delivered clean water solutions to more than 13 million people across 16 countries. In the private sector, he has led operational turnarounds, driven growth, and built systems that enable organizations to scale with clarity and control.
Throughout his career, Bruce has been known as a builder of systems and a steady hand in moments that require both clarity and resolve. He leads with a practical approach to execution—aligning strategy, people, and process to deliver measurable results.
He is the author of The Grace of a Tent Maker: Quiet Work That Changes the World, a reflection on the kind of leadership that rarely seeks recognition but consistently creates lasting impact. His work centers on what he calls the “Tent Maker Pattern”—a model of leadership grounded in faithfulness, stewardship, and the quiet discipline of showing up day after day.
Today, Bruce writes and speaks on leadership, culture, and operational excellence, helping leaders build organizations—and lives—that endure.
